Code Breaker Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 2026-06-01
Summary
CodeBreaker does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data or usage information. All processing happens entirely on your device.
Data We Do Not Collect
We do not collect:
Your name, email address, or any contact information
Device identifiers, IP addresses, or location data
Usage analytics, crash reports, or diagnostic data sent to us
The ciphertexts or plaintexts you work with
Any payment or financial information
On-Device Storage
CodeBreaker stores workbench sessions you explicitly save using SwiftData, a local on-device database. This data never leaves your device unless you export a ‘.codebreaker’ file yourself via AirDrop, Mail, or another sharing method you choose.
The Share Extension uses an App Group container to pass text between the extension and the main app. This storage is local to your device and cleared automatically after use.
No Third-Party Services
CodeBreaker does not include any third-party analytics SDKs, advertising networks, crash-reporting services, or tracking libraries. There are no network requests of any kind during normal operation.
Apple Frameworks
CodeBreaker uses standard Apple system frameworks (Vision, Core Spotlight, PencilKit, SwiftData). Apple's own data practices apply to system services — see apple.com/privacy for details.
Children's Privacy
CodeBreaker is rated 4+ and contains no content inappropriate for children. Because we collect no data whatsoever, there are no special considerations for users under 13 (COPPA) or under 16 (GDPR Article 8).
Changes to this Policy
If we ever change this policy, we will update the effective date above and, if the change is material, note it in the App Store release notes for the corresponding version.
